What To Know

  • Former Dancing With the Stars pro Lindsay Arnold revealed whether she is interested in returning to the show.
  • Arnold competed as a pro for 10 seasons and took home the mirrorball trophy with Jordan Fisher in 2017.
  • Since leaving DWTS, Arnold has focused on her family life with her husband and their three kids, the youngest of which they welcomed in June.

Having one mirrorball trophy under her belt, former Dancing With the Stars pro Lindsay Arnold revealed whether she has interest in returning to the show to claim her second title.

Arnold famously competed as a pro on the ABC ballroom dance competition show for 10 seasons, starting with Season 16 in 2013 and most recently appearing on Season 30 in 2021. She took home the mirrorball trophy during Season 25 with her partner, Jordan Fisher, in 2017, and served as her younger sister Rylee Arnold‘s mentor on Dancing With the Stars: Juniors in 2018.

Now five years removed from the show, Arnold addressed the possibility of making a DWTS comeback in an interview with Us Weekly published on Tuesday, August 11. “I’ve always said that I will literally never say never because I love the show. There’s so many aspects of it that I miss,” she shared. “In a perfect world, I could do the show and also do all the other things I have and also take my kids to all of their things and also be home.”

She added, “But I think right now, I am just absolutely loving and embracing this phase of life that we’re in.”

In the years since her most recent DWTS season, Lindsay has focused on her family with her husband, Samuel Lightner Cusick. The couple, who wed in 2015, share two daughters, Sage and June, and recently welcomed their son, Hayes, in June.

“I’ve got my girls in so many different things, and I love being there for all of those things. I love being able to be fully present and just embrace this phase of life,” she told the outlet. “I feel really grateful for all the years that I had on the show and embracing that phase of my life.”

Though Lindsay said she’s doing things that are “fulfilling me and helping me with a creative outlet and making me feel like I’m creating something for myself,” she will “never say never” to a potential DWTS comeback.

“I love the show so much and getting to do [DWTS] Con was such a fun reminder of that passion,” she clarified. “I think as of now, no, I’m really just loving where we’re at and being able to be here with my family and doing all the things that we’re doing.”

Lindsay recently reunited with her fellow DWTS pros of the past and present at the first-ever DWTS Con, which took place in Palm Springs from July 31 through August 2. It was at the event that she got to share a sweet duet performance with Rylee, as well as bust a move with other DWTS stars.

“When u get to dance with your bestfriend @lindsarnold who also just had a baby 7 weeks ago,” pro Sasha Farber captioned an August 3 Instagram video of himself and Lindsay dancing together on stage. In the post’s comments, Lindsay gushed, “Love you sash.”

Back in February, a pregnant Lindsay appeared alongside several DWTS pros for a special performance to announce DWTS Con on Good Morning America. “Baby boys first live TV appearance,” she captioned behind-the-scenes photos from the morning show via Instagram. “Truly had the best time dancing with all of these talented humans again after 4 years! I feel so grateful to have gotten to perform and I’m happy to report that at 22 weeks pregnant we still got it.”
