Mama June Shannon is defending her grieving process after fans came at her for the way she has been behaving. Her eldest child, Anna Cardwell, passed away Saturday, December 9th at the age of 29. Yet, it appeared that June was making it all about herself and not about Anna. What does the reality star have to say for herself? Read on for more details.
Mama June Shannon Defends Grieving Process
It was a sad moment when Anna Cardwell’s family started to heavily ask for prayers. Clearly, things had taken a turn with her adrenal carcinoma. Mama June explained that they were going through a transition but when the time did come, the family would let the fans know. On the morning of Sunday, December 10th, Anna’s sisters and her Aunt Doe Doe started to post that she was now an Angel. Then, June confirmed that Anna had passed around 11 pm Saturday evening at her home surrounded by loved ones.
The funeral arrangements were soon revealed and fans would be allowed for one hour. However, June wanted to recruit Cooper Alan to perform at the funeral and fans felt she was turning this into a circus. Moreover, they told her to go grieve with her family rather than be on social media constantly. So, what does she have to say about that? According to In Touch Weekly, June is trying to justify her behavior. She made a TikTok and shared that she has seen followers tell her she is not grieving properly.

Prior to that, she commented on her Instagram post and held nothing back.
“Let me answer some of y’all stupid a– people I can’t tell you how many times I broke down even before Anna passed away. During this process, there’s something as simple as riding down the road and somebody saying something that will tear me up.”
Holding Strong For The Kids
Mama June also made it very clear that she has Anna Cardwell’s two young daughters to tend to. They are staying with her and to make matters worse, Anna passed on one of her girl’s birthdays. June did say that this is the hardest thing she has ever been through. Finally, as for getting Cooper Alan to perform, he did apparently reach out to June. Unfortunately, he is not around right now but if he was, he would be there without a question. Luckily, he did say he would make a video to play at the funeral.
