Bachelor in Paradise fan favorites Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch have now had two weddings. They first got married in Puerto Rico in front of mainly family. Recently, they celebrated with all of their friends in Chicago. Now that things are slowing down after the wedding, they are sharing a few more details including one big mistake. What happened? Mari Pepin And Kenny Braasch Share Huge Wedding Mishap
Newlyweds Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch are opening up more about their wedding festivities. The happy couple recently appeared on Bachelor Happy Hour to talk about how things are going in their lives.
One big topic was their two incredible weddings. One took place in Puerto Rico while the other took place in Chicago last month. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt wanted to know if there were any major mishaps that occurred.
The first thing that went wrong was Mari losing her garter. She said, “I couldn’t find my garter anywhere and I was so sad about it. It was blue and was going to be my something blue. I ended up finding something else last minute, but I was so upset because I had the garter custom-made.” She later found the garter after the wedding in a car that they weren’t even using.
She also revealed that it rained that day. Luckily the rain stopped for the wedding but the humidity caused her to rethink her wedding hairstyle.
Kenny also chimed in and said the rain didn’t bother him but what happened with the DJ did. He said, “For our first dance, he played the wrong song. I don’t even know what it was and then we’re like, ‘That’s the wrong one.’ Then all of the sudden, he started playing a Lil Jon song instead and I was like, ‘What the heck?!’”
How Did They Fix It?
Kenny went on to explain that it was a pretty big mishap. So, in the end, they had her do her dance with her father first then Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch had their first dance as husband and wife.
Luckily, Kenny made sure the second time around the DJ had the correct song. As for what it was, Kenny shared that it was a nod to their time in Paradise.
He said, “We actually picked our first dance song from the Paradise Prom. When we walked in, that was the first song that was playing. Kenny said it was one of his favorite songs and that was it, then. We used that song for our first dance both in Puerto Rico and Chicago. I also wore the pink suit at the Chicago party because that was what I wore on that night in ‘Paradise.’ Little Easter eggs.”
