Tori Spelling is sharing the way that her former co-star offended her amid her divorce from her estranged husband, Dean McDermott. Though the two have been separated since Summer 2023, Tori did not file for divorce until March 2024. So, what happened to make her feel so uncomfortable? Keep reading for more details.
Tori Spelling Shares Former Co-Star Offended Her Amid Divorce
It was a long time coming but Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott kept their marriage together for some reason. That reason is unknown but when he finally posted on social media they had parted ways, she said she felt relieved. It seems she would not have done it on her own so he took it out of her hands though it was a bitter pill to swallow for their children. Despite all of this, Tori has had to pick herself up from a lot of mucky waters. The home she and her family were living in was mold-infested. It was causing them severe health problems so she took her five kids and headed to a motel.
They then moved to an RV until this year when they moved into a $15K/month rental. It was a big change for the family but a good one and then she filed for divorce. All the while, Dean was battling substance abuse issues which he has been working on. During this time, he started to date someone new and Tori was seen out with a new man. Yet, according to People, the idea of dating and what goes along with it is quite a scary prospect. Tori shared how her former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star, Ian Ziering added to her fears of getting back out there.
On her podcast, misSPELLING, Tori Spelling had this to say:
“At dinner one night, he said, ‘So what’s the next step? And I was like, ‘Wait, like literally, like in the divorce? And he’s like, ‘Well, no, for you personally, like, what do you feel?’ He goes, ‘You’re on a dating sites?’ I was like, ‘No.’ And I had that moment where I’m like, What? Oh, my God. It’s as if you said the most offensive thing to me.”
Ian tried to tell Tori that this was the new wave of dating and meeting one’s mate:
“Eventually, you’re going to get yourself back out there, and it’s going to be great. And it’s your second chapter and all that. But I had that moment where I was like, ‘No, I would never. I’m never getting on a dating site.’”
The Possibilities Are Endless
Now that she has filed for divorce, Tori Spelling is faced with the idea of dating someone new. Prior to marrying Dean McDermott, she was married to Charlie Shanian for two years. So, she has been married essentially for two decades. Now, what is her thought process, and can she adjust to the concept of online dating? She is thinking about it as this is all very new to her. Hopefully, she can find love and happiness with someone who truly appreciates her.
