ITV’s This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary were interviewing TV vet Dr. Scott Miller about pet wellness when one of the hosts rushed off stage. Alison Hammond, 51, began breathing heavily and clutching her chest before she was escorted off the set. The show quickly cut to commercial. The show returned without Alison Hammond. Dermot O’Leary continued the morning show alone.

Alison Hammond Shares Update From Hospital Bed
In addition to co-hosting This Morning, Alison Hammond is a co-host of The Great British Baking Show. She took over hosting duties after Matt Lucas left the reality competition. The footage of her abrupt exit from the morning program made its way across the pond to the U.S. Viewers were worried for the host’s health.
Alison Hammond heard the concern and shared an update from her hospital bed. She thanked everyone for their messages and apologized for leaving the morning program. She explained that she started feeling heart palpitations in the middle of the segment. The TV host said that she normally wouldn’t leave like she did.
