Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Departed ABC News Shortly After Their Relationship Came To Light
Both Robach and Holmes became known to many through their work on GMA3: What You Need to Know. This program serves as the third hour of Good Morning America.
A romantic relationship between the two first became public in late 2022 while co-hosting the show. At the time, this sparked an internal review at ABC News, with both sharing that they had separated from their respective spouses at the time. ABC ultimately removed them from the air by the end of the year, and they officially departed the network by early 2023. Since then, they have launched the Amy & T.J. podcast.
In early October, news came to light that the two applied for a marriage license in Arkansas on September 18. According to TMZ, this was confirmed by the Washington County Clerk.
The Former GMA3 Hosts Previously Announced That They Had Set A Date During A Previous Podcast Appearance
The outlet noted that this development was interesting as Holmes is an Arkansas native. It was mused that, even if their relationship sparked in New York City, which is where the couple currently lives, the couple’s potential nuptials will take place in Holmes’ home state. This development also comes out around four years after their relationship became known.
Amy and T.J. previously announced that they were engaged back in October 2025. This past May, the pair shared that they had set a date on the Bill and Giuliana podcast. After Holmes confirmed this development, Robach asked, “Are you OK with that date? I had a date that I really wanted. You’re just telling me now on the podcast that you’re OK with that date?”
Holmes later assured that he was “comfortable” with the date. However, the two have not publicly announced the date.
Previously, Amy was married to actor Andrew Shue while T.J. was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. The two have since started a relationship together, dating in late 2023 and ultimately moving in together.
