Fans got a whole new insight into what it’s like to be a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars thanks to the spinoff Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, which aired this summer. The show featured 12 dancers competing to be named the newest pro on Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars.
Adele Zaikman took home the title and is now partnered with Conner Leavitt on the upcoming season of the dance competition, which premieres on September 15.
The show’s executive producer Conrad Green recently weighed in on whether there will be a search for another new pro in Season 2 of Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro. Scroll down for everything we know.
Will Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro return for Season 2?
Season 2 has not been confirmed yet, but Green told TVLine, “I’d certainly consider doing it again, if someone were to discuss it with the network.”
He added, “I think it worked really well as a show, and people who love Dancing With the Stars got a whole new take and view on the show. It gave a lot of pleasure without cannibalizing the main show itself.”

The problem with adding a new pro to the cast is that it’ll likely mean the removal of one of the vets (Gleb Savchenko was axed from Season 35 amid the addition of Zaikman.) With so many fan-favorites on the current cast, this would be a tough call to make.
When does Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro Season 2 premiere?
If the show does return for Season 2, it would make sense for it to follow the same programming schedule as Season 1 did, airing throughout the summer, leading into the next Dancing With the Stars cast announcement.
Season 1 premiered on July 7 and aired one episode a week until the finale on August 31, where Zaikman was announced as the winner. Two days later, she and Leavitt were confirmed to be dancing together, along with the rest of the Season 35 pairings.
Who are the Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro Season 2 judges?
We won’t know who the judges are until we get an official Season 2 confirmation, but Season 1 was judged by Mark Ballas and his mom, Shirley Ballas, along with a rotating panel of DWTS pros who popped in each week.
The pros who appeared on Season 1 as judges were: Derek Hough, Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Witney Carson, and Kym Johnson Herjavec.
Robert Irwin, who won Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, served as host of the first season.
Who is in the Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro Season 2 cast?
Should the show return for Season 2, the contestants competing to be the next pro will not be announced until closer to the premiere.
