Reba McEntire, 71, has been entertaining audiences for decades. After a stint on The Voice, she’s back on TV in a popular sitcom. The singer got engaged to the man she loves in 2024. She opened up about how she’s in her best era ever. Keep reading for all the details.

Reba McEntire Is In Her Best Era Ever

Reba McEntire’s sitcom, Reba’s Place, returns for Season 3 on October 23, 2026. The NBC show was her first big role since ABC canceled Big Sky. The cast of Reba’s Place is one big happy family. Reba McEntire reunited with her Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman, on the sitcom. Furthermore, her real-life fiance, Rex Linn, plays her character’s love interest.

“When I go to work with the love of my life and step through those doors, it’s people with smiles on their faces. Nobody is in a bad mood and we know how blessed we are to get the job that we have,” she gushed to Woman’s World in a recent interview.

Reba McEntire opened up about her current era. “I don’t think I’ve ever been happier. I feel grateful. I know myself better. I’m 71 years old. I’m healthy. I’m happy and thankful,” she said.

Her wedding to Rex Linn is on hold for now. She has too many other things going on with the sitcom and the impending birth of her son’s first child.

Can’t Wait For The Birth Of Grandson

Reba McEntire has been divorced from her first two husbands for years. However, she is still a part of their children’s lives. In addition to her five stepchildren, the singer has one biological son, Shelby. She revealed earlier this year that her son and his wife are expecting their first child in October. The baby could be born any day now.

She opened up about how the birth of Shelby’s son is special, even though she’s already a grandmother through her stepkids. “I’ve been a grandma seven times, but the one I’m looking forward to is watching Shelby be a dad and Marissa be a mom because Mama always said you haven’t lived life until you’ve had a child of your own.”

Reba confessed, “I never really planned on having kids, but then when I wanted a child, God gave me Shelby and . . . he just brought us joy day after day.”

Reba McEntire is happier than she’s ever been. However, she recently dealt with the heartbreaking loss of her longtime friend, Dolly Parton. The “Fancy” singer is among the lineup for an upcoming tribute to Dolly. CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton airs on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 9 PM Eastern.
