Smallville‘s Tom Welling Recently Made An Appearance At The New York Comic Con
For many, Welling is best known for playing Clark Kent in the superhero drama Smallville, set before the character dons his “Superman” moniker, from 2001 to 2011. Following this, he later starred in the third season of the Fox comedy-drama Lucifer as Lt. Marcus Pierce/Cain. In 2022, he also appeared as Samuel Campbell on The Winchesters, a Supernatural spin-off.
Recently, Welling took a trip to New York. He was in the Big Apple as part of New York Comic Con over the weekend.
However, Welling ended up shocking quite a few fans after sharing a photo from his New York City hotel room. During an Instagram Stories update, he shared a view from his window, showing off skyscrapers and the street below. He wrote, “Hello NYCC,” in a simple caption.
Unfortunately for him, the actor’s reflection could be seen in the glass. Likely revealing more than he intended, it could be seen that he was not wearing clothes when he took the photo.
Welling Also Appeared At ‘The Road to Superman: 25 Years Of Smallville’ Event During The Convention
The photo was soon shared on social media, including X and Google Trends. The situation drew comparisons to other figures who appeared to share nude photos by accident, with comparing the situation to a photo shared by Jonathan Bennett back in 2021.
However, the original was soon deleted from Welling’s account, though it remained up for around 10 hours. At this time, Welling has not directly responded to what happened.
Meanwhile, on October 10, Welling participated in an NYCC panel titled “The Road to Superman: 25 Years of Smallville, At the time, he appeared alongside Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk, and Erica Durance, the actor who played Lex Luthor, Lana Lang, and Lois Lane, respectively.
Rosenbaum has since shared a clip of the event on his own Instagram account featuring the actors smiling with cheering fans filling out the background. As he captioned the post, “Wow. What a treat. @newyorkcomiccon with my pals. @durance.erica @mskristinlkreuk @tomwelling #smallville.”
