Daniella Karagach and her partner Iman Shumpert took the ballroom by storm last year. Against all odds, they went on to take home the Mirrorball Trophy. It was Daniella’s first win and the first time an NBA player ever won the competition.
Now, Daniella and the rest of the pros are warming up and preparing for another season. There will be many changes this year, but many familiar faces will be back in the ballroom. And it just wouldn’t be the same without the reigning champ.

Daniella Karagach made got her first celebrity partner back in DWTS Season 29, even though she’d been part of the cast for a bit longer. Even though she was the newest pro, she and her partner Nelly managed to snag third place. Last year, Daniella and her new partner Iman Shumpert took first place.
Her choreography is spectacular and she helps underdog contestants go the distance. It’s not hard to see why viewers adore her. Few felt surprised when they learned Daniella would be part of the Season 31 cast. Teasers for the new season heavily feature the 29-year-old, so it wasn’t shocking when her name showed up on the cast list.
Right now, the pro dancers are practicing and prepping for the DWTS Season 31 premiere on September 19. Daniella, her husband Pasha, and the rest of the crew are hard at work. But Daniella still found a little bit of time to snap a cute photo in between dance numbers.

Fans always believe that Daniella looks amazing. But this newest selfie has many viewers excited for the upcoming season.
The platform shift to Disney+ has some fans planning to boycott the season. But maybe Daniella can help rein them back in.

Dancing With The Stars Season 31 comes to Disney+ starting on September 19 this year. The full cast list comes out on September 8, but a few names are already out there. Entertainer Wayne Brady will join the cast this fall, as will “No Air” singer Jordan Sparks. TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and her mother Heidi will also appear in the ballroom this fall.
DWTS insider Krystin Burtt believes Daniella will partner with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Joseph Baena. Hopefully, the pair will make it to the finale and stun viewers at home. Tune in for yourself and see what happens.
