It’s only been three months since Alyssa Farah Griffin gave birth to her son, Justin Griffin Jr., but The View cohost is already looking forward to shedding the last bit of baby weight from her pregnancy. However, one of her cohosts didn’t want to hear her talk about that, per an arrangement the two apparently made.
On Friday’s (May 15) edition of The View, while discussing summer plans, Griffin said that her goal was to shed a few more pounds.
“I am leaning into hot married boy mom summer, which means I am going to drop the 10 pounds that are left,” she said. “I want every person who sees me to say, ‘You did not just have a baby.’”
“You promised to not talk about losing weight until you are done with the breastfeeding,” Sara Haines said in response.
“I need the validation,” Griffin said with a chuckle.
Haines, who is a mother of three children herself, then continued, “Your body is doing everything you can to be there for your baby. Stop talking about your body.”
Sunny Hostin then jumped in to note, “And you look great.”
The discussion stemmed from a review of a report that claims that the trend of the upcoming season this year is “Hot Divorcee Summer.”
Of that, Joy Behar remembered, “I have to say, when I got divorced, I was very, very available, apparently. I remember they were falling out of the trees. It’s a wonder I didn’t get a concussion. They were falling out of trees for me.”
Ana Navarro then asked how long she was single before meeting her second husband, and she admitted, “About like nine months later.”
“So you were putting yourself out there like a hot divorcee?” Hostin joked.
“They were so into me they could smell it. I spent more time on my back than Michelangelo,” Behar joked, sending the audience into a roar. “All I can say is thank God my mother is dead because she would kill me for saying that.”
