Former reality star and talk show host Sharon Osbourne lost the love of her life in July 2025 when Ozzy Osbourne died. Now, she is sharing that she has “befriended” her grief over his passing. Moreover, she is detailing where he is buried and what the reason behind this choice was. Keep reading for more on what Sharon had to say.
Sharon Osbourne Cannot Waste Away
Losing Ozzy Osbourne was tragic for his children and especially the love of his life, Sharon Osbourne. She had been through everything with him, from the good to the bad. They truly leaned on one another, raising three children as a unit. Moreover, they were a dynamic duo, so when it came out that he had Parkinson’s Disease, no one wanted to believe that could happen to Ozzy. He was diagnosed in 2019, and it came to light the following year. In 2025, he performed his final show, and a few weeks later, he passed away.

Over a year later, Sharon is still struck by grief, but she knows that she cannot waste away. Therefore, she is doing whatever she can to get by. Admittedly, she will never be over this tremendous loss, and she will mourn Ozzy every day that she lives. However, she has figured out how to cope:
“You’ve lost the love of your life, so you don’t just wake up and go, ‘I’m fine now. I’m cured.’ You never get over it. But you learn to live with it, and that’s what I’m trying to do. So you either sit in a room and don’t come out, or you accept it, befriend it and that’s it.”
Ultimately, the decision was made to bury Ozzy at their Buckinghamshire home. Sharon explained that it would have been impossible to have a public burial for him. Those who watched the funeral saw how the family was inundated with fans and paparazzi. Sharon Osbourne felt it was best for him to “rest and just be.”

Part of her healing is visiting Ozzy every day. She noted that she can see it from her window. It appears that helps to give her some peace and comfort.
The Final Moments
On the night before Ozzy Osbourne passed away, Sharon Osbourne was with him. She shared this:
“We’d spoken in the night. Ozzy had woken in the night and he asked me to kiss him twice, and I did. And then he said, ‘Hold me, hold me tight,’ and I did. And then the next thing I know, it’s early in the morning, and someone comes rushing into the room saying, ‘Come down now.’ I ran down, and that was it.”
This will be detailed in a BBC interview, and those who have heard Sharon’s words are broken for her. They know how much she loved Ozzy, and it was a tried-and-true love story for the ages. Hopefully, Sharon Osbourne can continue to heal in the best way possible.
