Sheinelle Jones and Jenna Bush Hager may be co-hosts, but that doesn’t mean they always get along. Now, Sheinelle has taken a jab at Jenna on camera. Keep reading to find out exactly what happened.
Fighting On Set
Ever since Sheinelle joined Jenna as co-host of Today earlier this year, fans have speculated about drama between the two. At the very least, there have been reports of fans saying they lack chemistry on camera. There have definitely been a few awkward moments since they started officially working as co-hosts too. One of those was when Mumford & Sons got brought up earlier this summer on camera.
As previously reported, Jenna instantly made things weird by saying, “You didn’t know them the way I knew them.”
Of course, Sheinelle picked up on this weird comment and responded with, “I definitely didn’t know them the way you know them, and Jenna decided to share with them.”
Apparently, Jenna didn’t like that answer, leading her to give her co-host a little slap on camera. Of course, Sheinelle had no choice but to backpedal after that.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Oh, I don’t mean it in that way!” She says. To which Jenna responds, saying, “No, I know what you mean, and we’re not saying that. Remember? I got a text that said, ‘Don’t say that,’” she says.
However, that’s not the only weird thing going on between the pair.
Sheinelle Jones Starts Bashing Outfits
The new drama happened this week on Today. Apparently, Sheinelle, Jenna and Dylan Dreyer went for all-white ensembles on the same day.
Craig jumped in to point out the matching looks, asking, “Is there going to be a white party?”
That’s when Sheinelle chimed in; however, she didn’t do it nicely. Instead, she seems to take a jab at her fellow hosts.
“Yeah, but I have to get better outfits than them,” she says quietly.
However, she didn’t say it quietly enough. The Sun reports that Jenna appears to have overheard the comment. This leads to a glaring look from Jenna directed at Sheinelle from across the stage.
Hopefully the pair are able to work through their constant little spats. While they haven’t had any major blowups, it’s still nice to see two friends working together versus people making fun of each other. Only time will tell if this actually ends up being a good co-host matchup in the future.
