Fans are eager to watch Season 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty, streamed on Amazon Prime Video. The TV series is based on author Jenny Han’s bestselling book series. Bookworms have been waiting for the series to even develop since they fell in love with the books. The series stars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno, who are all in a love triangle on the show. Fans freaked the second they saw the trailer put out by the production team on Wednesday.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Quickly A Fan-Favorite Show
Ever since the series premiered last summer, it has quickly become a favorite show among many, especially young adults. The Hollywood Reporter states the show takes viewers to Cousins Beach for the summer. The Summer I Turned Pretty stars Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney), Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno), and Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung). The three have grown up together every summer of their lives at Cousins Beach. The last season left off with Conrad and Belly confessing their feelings for each other which was long awaited by fans. However, things got a little messy because Conrad’s brother, Jeremiah, also shares feelings for Belly. Season 2 premieres on July 14, and three episodes will be released on the 14, but after that, it will only be an episode every Friday. What are you expecting from this season?
Jenny Han Gives Fans A Sneak Peek Fans Were Not Expecting
If you follow Jenny Han on social media, you know that she is a Swiftie at heart. Jenny and Lola were even seen together at the Eras Tour jamming out to Taylor Swift. Han even included several songs of Swift’s in the last season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Those songs included “Cruel Summer”, “False God”, “The Way I Loved You (Taylor’s Version)”, and “This Love (Taylor’s Version). So, anyone who loves Taylor enjoys seeing which songs line up with which scenes. The upcoming season’s trailer, “Back To December (Taylor’s Version)” was heard by fans for the first time. This is something no viewer was expecting. Swift is releasing her new album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on July 7. Taylor Swift then shared the trailer on her Instagram story captioning it “Crying (Taylor’s Version)”.
Fans of Swift know how hard this album was for Taylor and how hard it must have been to rerecord it after Scooter Braun bought her music. She will perform in Kansas City, Missouri on the same day. The preview of the song featured in the trailer made fans so much more excited for both Taylor’s release and Jenny’s new season premiere.

This preview shows Belly talking about how last summer was such a good summer and you never know the last time you will see a place or a person. Steven is seen yelling at Belly that Conrad and Jeremiah won’t even text him back since she made things messy for them. Conrad disappears and Belly and Jeremiah go after him to find him. Jeremiah explains to her he wasn’t fine after she hooked up with Conrad.
It was revealed that the house in Cousins Beach was put up for sale. This is where they went every summer and they are not okay with it at all. They are going to try to figure out something to save the house. It brings everyone together again as Belly tries to convince Jeremiah that there is nothing between her and Conrad, but he isn’t buying it.
