Tammy Slaton and Amy Halterman: The Next Kardashians?

TV Shows

Are Tammy Slaton and Amy Halterman officially in the same league as the Kardashian and Jennefer family?

Finding a niche in individuals struggling with their weight, TLC discovered Amy Halterman and Tammy Slaton via YouTube. They were introduced to the world via 1000-Lb. Sisters and quickly became a raging success. TLC viewers fell in love with their snarky banter and cheered the sisters on as they worked toward their weight loss goals. With the wild success and popularity of the show, it became one that TLC quickly announced and confirmed renewals for (which was completely abnormal for the network).

Whether the series is returning for another season remains unclear as Amy Halterman has insisted she was out while Tammy Slaton has insisted she was in. Likewise, their brother Chris Combs has mentioned filming was happening via Facebook recently. The network, however, has yet to confirm. So, fans aren’t really sure what’s going on.

1000-Lb. Sisters fans really have one big question regarding Amy Halterman and her sister Tammy Slaton. What kind of money are they making these days? After all, the sisters were known not to be individuals who came from a lot of money. Likewise, there were tons of reports that they were some of the lowest-paid personalities on the network.

According to InTouch Weekly, however, this may have changed. Fans believe Amy Halterman and Tammy Slaton are rolling in a lot more dough than they once were. Moreover, fans believe these sisters hailing from Kentucky may be heading for Kardashian-esque riches.

Tammy Slaton and Amy Halterman: The Next Kardashians?

Amy Halterman is believed to have a net worth of around $250K. Presently, she has a YouTube channel fans assume she makes a decent income from as she has a little over 500K subscribers. Amy Halterman is also on Cameo and charges $50 per video. Presently, neither Amy nor her sister has mentioned how much they get from TLC.

Fans, however, do know that TLC paid for their family vacation on the most recent episode of the show. Likewise, fans assume TLC assisted in paying for Amy’s baby shower and her maternity photo shoot as they were both aired as part of the last season of the series. At best, fans can only speculate how much Amy makes based on what they know about other salaries the network pays.

According to a report from Business Insider, TLC likely started out paying the sisters somewhere between $1,500 and $3,000 per episode. The outlet suspects this would have increased to somewhere between $7K and $10K after two or three successful seasons.

Multiple outlets estimate Tammy Slaton is likely worth a little less than her sister at around $100K. Unlike her sister Amy, Tammy doesn’t appear to have used her following and popularity from the show as a way to make much additional income. This, however, is with the exception of Cameo where the TLC personality was reported to be making BANK at one point in time. Tammy, however, faced accusations of scamming fans. There were reports that the star was allegedly taking money via Cameo and not giving customers what they ordered. It is unclear whether those reports were proven or disproven.

Tammy Slaton and her sister Amy Halterman certainly don’t have Kardashian bodies or faces. They, however, could very well be inching that direction in terms of popularity and net worth!
