It seems The Kardashians may be preparing for their farewell season, as the show is not faring as well as they had hoped. Now in its eighth season, people are still excited for the adventures of the KarJenner family. Yet, they have grown tired of the antics and redundancy and are ready for the series to come to a close. It Has Been A Long Run
Since 2007, the KarJenner family has been a presence on television. They started with Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which ran for twenty seasons on E!. Then, the show ended, but they were not done yet. The series was rebranded as The Kardashians and landed on Hulu, where they were completely unfiltered. It has done fairly well, but it has not had the same success as KUWTK. Moreover, the sisters have achieved extreme mogul status, meaning they are consistently branching out.
The deal with Hulu has allowed them to explore other projects, including scripted shows and reality series outside of their family. Now, it seems that the show has planned a farewell season, knowing it is time to end it. According to The U.S. Sun, The Kardashians has been renewed for two more seasons, so that is good news for hardcore fans. However, per an insider, with the ending near, they do want to have a proper goodbye:
“When the time does come to close the chapter on the show, there was chatter of doing a farewell season before pulling the plug altogether.”
As for what has been planned, it will be a celebration of the family and all the show has accomplished during their time on the air:
“They don’t want it to just fizzle out. One final bow for reality TV’s royal family which would be a celebration of all the years past and include lesser seen family members like Rob.”
Venturing Out
Allegedly, Hulu will still work with the family, but on spinoffs rather than a collaborative series. Unfortunately, there have been clashes over The Kardashians, some with momager at large, Kris Jenner, over the show’s budget. She is allegedly not willing to lower what is spent on the series, but Hulu has deemed it necessary. Moreover, viewership is not what it once was, so some things have to change. After seeing Season 8, Episode 1, fans were not impressed, and they made it known:
- My takeaway is Kourtney’s therapist and Simon are a*s kissers, she should never be the focus of an episode she’s not interesting.
- dude , when the intro started i screamed AI so loud …. why on earth would they start season 8 off like this …. i cringed so hard
- this might actually be the most boring season premiere out of all the seasons. literally nothing happens in this episode.
- They live such exciting lives and 90% of the show is the most boring parts.
- Used to be a long time fan. Watched since season 1, but this wasn’t even on my radar. They give nothing in these newer seasons, so boring
