Janelle, Meri, and Christine Brown spent years playing second fiddle to Kody’s only legal wife, Robyn. Christine was the first to leave, followed by Janelle and eventually, Meri. Christine was also the first to find love again with her now-husband, David Woolley.
Janelle Brown shocked fans in August that she was dating a man named Pete. It was her first relationship after ending things with Kody Brown. Season 21 of Sister Wives follows Janelle, Meri, and Christine as they start new lives away from the plural family.
PEOPLE magazine detailed an exclusive look at the upcoming episode. Janelle Brown meets with a dating expert for advice on the episode airing Sunday, October 11, 2026. Janelle tells the expert she’s looking for “companionship” more than anything.
The expert asks how comfortable Janelle is with intimacy early in a relationship. “Are you guys going to take it as slow as far as like, going to the physical levels?” she asked. The Sister Wives star shuts that down immediately. “I mean, I’m very old-fashioned, very conservative in that realm. So there would have to be commitment,” Janelle replied.
In fact, she’s so old-fashioned that she balked at the expert’s suggestion of striking up a conversation with a man at church.
“I don’t know if I’ve ever hit on a guy, to be honest with you. I just don’t because I’m just not that person. I am not going to do the pick-up line thing now. Like, bleh,” Janelle said in a confessional.
Sister Wives Viewers Will See Romance Unfold
Janelle Brown was shocked by the idea of approaching a man. However, she did take away some advice from the expert. She liked the idea of dating someone who made her life better.
“I have been so involved in raising children and the demands that everybody puts on you when you are that caretaker and you’re in that role. But there is something about: I really don’t have to think about anybody else but myself and how this relationship adds to my life,” the mom of six explained to the camera.
Janelle Brown already made her relationship with Pete Instagram official. Television viewers have yet to meet him on the show. However, the season trailer teased his appearance later and viewers seeing the moment Janelle and Pete first met.
Did Janelle make the first move? Probably not. But she’s beyond happy in her current relationship. Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 PM Eastern on TLC.
