All sorts of moments can happen during a broadcast, even on the morning news. Jenna Bush Hager recently found herself at the heart of such a moment on Today. During a special broadcast, she had a surprising encounter with a special guest.
Today Recently Aired A Special Broadcast From County Kerry, Ireland
Jenna first joined Today back in 2009. For many, she is best known for co-hosting the morning show’s fourth hour, alongside figures like Hoda Kotb and Sheinelle Jones.
This week, viewers were treated to a special broadcast of the NBC program. All four hours of the show were hosted from County Kerry, Ireland, at Sheen Falls Lodge.
Recently, Jenna shared a post on social media about what it was like filming in Ireland. As she wrote, “Heaven..IRELAND! The most beautiful place with my dearest people. You know what Seamus Haney said about spending time like this: ” Think where man’s glory most begins and ends, And say my glory was I had such friends.”
Jenna Shared A Few Animal Photos, Including An Owl, A Lamb, & A Surprisingly Perched Falcon
Included with the share was a carousel of photos. The post started out with two photos of Jenna and her co-stars enjoying a drink.
This was followed by a photo of Jenna with an owl perched on her arm. However, the next photo was less graceful, with a large falcon perched upon her head, with Jenna looking shocked during the moment.
Footage Of The Moment Later Played On Today‘s Fourth Hour
Having a sense of humor about the situation, Jenna included another photo of the moment. This time, the bird was facing the camera, while it was turned away in the previous share.
Once again, the image was preceded by a moment of Jenna having a more pleasant moment with an animal. This time, Jenna was feeding a lamb with a bottle.
Footage of the moment later appeared on Today‘s fourth hour, where it was explained that Jenna and Sheinelle were trying out falconry. During the segment, Jenna noted that her daughter Poppy didn’t believe the image, initially thinking it was AI.
With Jenna’s recent share, fans shared a bunch of reactions to the moment. Some took what happened with a sense of humor, including a few locals. Some comments included:
- “Soooo…. I’m gonna have to frame the pic with the bird on your head.”
- “Hope your scalp is okay ?!! The talons look pretty big on this bird.”
- “@jennasheinelle if you guys aren’t those sheep or even better the falconer and the falcon for Halloween, what are you even doing? @todayshow”
- “Welcome to Kerry.”
