Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear

The Blink-182 drummer shares his story of survival and redemption in a revealing documentary that revisits the fiery crash of a Learjet in 2008 that left him with burns on 65% of his body, enduring more than 25 surgeries. “Why am I here when everyone else isn’t?” Barker wonders, mourning the deaths in the crash of his personal assistant and security guard as well as the passing of fellow crash survivor Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, who died of an overdose a year later. “I had this burning desire to become the greatest person and father I could be,” Barker says of life after his recovery.

Camp Rock 3

The Jonas Brothers — Joe, Nick, and Kevin — are the fictional rock stars known as Connect 3 in the third movie in the musical-comedy franchise. They return to the music-driven summer camp that gave them their start, announcing that they need a new opening act for their next tour, which could be some lucky camper’s big break. The kids may have come to Camp Rock to make friends and some beautiful music, but now they’re all rivals, which complicates the typical love harmonies. Demi Lovato, who, like the Jonas bros is an executive producer, returns for a “surprise” cameo as Mitchie Torres.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Don’t adjust your settings. The terrific Star Trek prequel is going black-and-white this week, in a film noir-inspired outing with more than a little classic Casablanca in its DNA. First officer and newly promoted Commander Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn) takes the lead on a risky recovery mission in forbidden Klingon territory where she goes undercover, assuming the identity of a double agent involved in the resistance underground on an occupied planet. “This is not your fight,” Doc M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) reminds her, but we know Bogie would be proud.

My Brilliant Career

First filmed in 1979, making international stars of Judy Davis and the late Sam Neill, My Brilliant Career returns as a six-part Australian series, starring Philippa Northeast as the spirited Sybylla, the creation of early 200th-century author/feminist Miles Franklin. Sybylla’s goal in life is to become a writer, not a wife “to some old stinker,” she declares, furiously rebelling against society’s conventions and her grandmother’s (Anna Chancellor) desires for her future. Slow Horses‘ Christopher Chung co-stars as the mixed-race rancher who catches her eye, but even a torrid romance may not be enough to distract Sybylla from what she hopes will be a brilliant career.

The Patriot Games

This week’s ESPN coverage of the 2026 Patriot Games from Geneva, Ohio’s SPIRE Academy culminates in an hour-long primetime special, showcasing high school athletes from across the country in team and individual competitions as they vie for a share of a $250,000 prize pool of scholarship funds. Testing their skills in sports including basketball, football, and soccer, as well as elements from the Presidential Fitness Test, the finalists who made it through the military-style boot camp take part in a climactic obstacle course.

• Celebrity Family Feud (8/7c, ABC): Funny ladies Nicole Byer and Margaret Cho face off in the first round of the “survey says” game show hosted by Steve Harvey. Then it’s socialite/TV personality Kathy Hilton‘s turn, competing against a team led by rapper Da Brat.
• Monsters of God (9/8c, HBO): The docuseries about the illegal trade in exotic reptiles brings the DEA into the picture when reptile dealer Ray Van Nostrand gets into business with a notorious cocaine cowboy known for drug smuggling and gun running.
• Blue Skies (9/8c, UPtv): As the title suggests, the scenery is terrific in a cozy crime drama that began streaming earlier this year. Scarlet Hunter stars as Jodi Larsen, a former police officer who returns home to work at Crystal Ridge National Park as a criminal investigator for the National Park Police, with a Labrador named Blue as her K9 partner.
• Project Runway (10/9c, Freeform): Fashion model Winnie Harlow and Vampire Diaries alum Nina Dobrev are guest judges as the designers compete to make a red-carpet look for host Heidi Klum to wear at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2.

ON THE STREAM:

• MLB at Field of Dreams Game (7:30 pm/ET, streaming on Netflix): The Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies get nostalgic in vintage uniforms while playing a regular season game from the Iowa ballpark set made famous in 1989’s Field of Dreams.
• Stuart Fails to Save the Universe (9 pm/ET, HBO Max): Jumping between realities in a multiverse could drive a person crazy. Or so Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) believes when he lands in a virtual cuckoo’s nest under a concerned psychiatrist’s care. The doc will be familiar to any Big Bang Theory fan.
• Gone (streaming on BritBox): David Morrissey is heartbreaking as disgraced headmaster Michael in the British crime drama’s finale, unable to forgive himself for his all-too-human failings even when his wife’s actual killer is revealed.
• Tires (streaming on Netflix): Cousins Shane (Shane Gillis) and Will (Steven Gerben) keep trying to make the family’s auto repair business a success in Season 3 of the raunchy workplace comedy.
• Irreversible (streaming on Viaplay): An acclaimed Portuguese crime drama, dropping two episodes weekly, follows the investigation by a psychologist and an inspector into the death of a teenage girl who had been bullied by her classmates.
