What To Know
- The showrunners of Ghosts are launching a new vampire comedy, Eternally Yours.
- Ghosts will return for Season 6 in midseason 2027, but fans can look forward to two holiday specials.
- The creators are open to a potential crossover.
Ghosts may be over for now, but showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman have an all-new series coming to viewers this fall as the vampire comedy Eternally Yours will debut on CBS.
The show will fill the Thursday timeslot at 8:30/7:30c, as Ghosts shifts its return to the midseason slate in 2027. But fret not, because there are two holiday specials on the horizon that are sure to satisfy until then, with Halloween and Christmas taking center stage. And as the showrunners previously teased, there will be a follow-up to Season 5’s cliffhanger in those specials, offering further insight into ghost Pete’s (Richie Moriarty) disappearance.
But is there a chance fans could see the spirits of Woodstone even sooner? When we caught up with the Joes around the Ghosts Season 5 finale, they shared their thoughts on the potential for a crossover with Eternally Yours. “Yes, I think that would be a lot of fun,” Port gushed.

“Obviously, I think Rose Abdoo‘s, role going forward will be more as Phyllis in Eternally Yours, since she’s a series regular in that, but I think a crossover episode would be a lot of fun,” Port continued, referring to Abdoo’s role in both shows, as she Eternally Yours cast member made an return in Ghosts‘ final Season 5 episodes as TV producer, Paula.
“We’ve talked a little bit about what that might look like,” Port went on. “Whether that’s some vampires coming to Woodstone or whatever it ends up being, I think that would be a really interesting thing to explore.”
For now, there’s no information on whether a potential crossover could occur in Season 1 of Eternally Yours, but if it were to happen, that could mean fans might see the Ghosts crew even sooner than they thought. Stay tuned for further news on the potential crossover, and let us know if you’d like to see these two supernatural worlds collide as Eternally Yours makes its debut.
