School is back in session, but Netflix has a bumper slate of new kids and family titles for the end of August and into September. So for the first time, we’re going to do a deep dive into all the new animated and live-action kids and family movies and series that are coming up over the next few weeks as we head back to school.
Whether you’re looking for a brand new entry in the One Piece universe, returning to Hawkins, or just looking to distract the little ones while you pack their lunchboxes, there’s something for everyone this month.
Also, if you’re looking for some gaming action, Netflix Playground has been expanding in recent months with PAW Patrol Academy and My Very Hungry Caterpillar joining. A full lineup at the time of publishing includes:
- PAW Patrol Academy – Join Ryder and the pups to complete rescues, fix cars, round up sheep, and dance.
- My Very Hungry Caterpillar – Feed, play, and care for Eric Carle’s iconic caterpillar as it grows into a butterfly.

- KPop Demon Hunters – Groove to the rhythm of HUNTR/X’s biggest hits, trace shapes, and play with character stickers.
- Peppa Pig – Decorate cakes, count, and care for guinea pigs with Peppa and the Peppatown crew.
- PJ Masks – Race across rooftops and through the streets to help Gekko, Catboy, and Owlette catch villains.
- Sesame Street – Hang out with Big Bird and Grover in activities that encourage pattern recognition and free-form play.
- StoryBots – Let these inquisitive creatures help your little ones hone their memory and budding musical skills.

- NFL Melbourne Game (Live Event) – Live at 8:35 PM ET! The Los Angeles Rams face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia.
