Martin Will Learn Where His Heart Leads in Best Medicine Season 2

- Advertisment -

It’s finally time to head back to Port Wenn. I don’t know about you, but I’ve missed that cozy, charming town.

Apparently, Dr. Martin Best still finds the residents stupid and annoying, though, which is hilarious.

His crankiness is part of his charm, but Best Medicine Season 2 will find Martin torn not only between two different cities but also between two different women.

He’ll learn to lead with his heart, not with his head, and discover that home really is where the heart lies.

It looks like we’re in for a heartwarming treat.

It appears that Martin has regressed in Best Medicine Season 2’s trailer.

His mood is somewhat understandable since he’s forced to have someone shadow his medical practice after Glendon revealed his blood phobia.

Martin looks like he has even less patience for everyone than he did when he had grown to tolerate them in Best Medicine Season 1.

That irritates his Aunt Sarah, who assumes Eden Montgomery has been a bad influence on him. It’s humorously apparent that his aunt and Eden clash like oil and water.’

I want to dislike Eden, but Eliza Coupe plays her sarcasm perfectly, and she mimics what Martin sounded like at the beginning of Best Medicine Season 1 when he detested busybodies in small towns.

Eden Montgomery knows what she wants, and she’ll fight to get it.

She wants Martin back, and she’ll find a treatment to help relieve his blood phobia if that’s what it takes to get him practicing medicine in Boston again.

I don’t think Martin truly wants to return to Boston or Eden. The Port Wenn residents may irritate him, but they’ve become his friends and found family.

No one can make him laugh like Mark, who always says something funny even when he’s trying to be supportive.

I predict Aunt Sarah will win this battle because she knows Martin better than anyone, and she knows the depths of his heart.

He was going to reveal his true feelings for Louisa when he overheard that she might have a baby with Mark.

We still don’t know whether the best friends and exes will co-parent a child, but Martin can’t shut off his feelings that fast.

He still cares deeply for Louisa, and Aunt Sarah knows it. That pull will keep Martin in Port Wenn.

It won’t be the only one because he loves her and cares about others in town, even if he doesn’t like to admit it, like Peter.

It’s his home, and no one can take that away.

It’s so fitting to hear Phillip Phillips’ ” Home” in Best Medicine Season 2’s trailer. Martin has longed to find a real home.

He may have escaped to Boston, but as Louisa so eloquently put it, he belongs in Port Wenn with them.

Hopefully, that’s a clue that the two of them will reconnect this season. While I’ve heard rumors about Louisa getting another love interest, I’m not concerned yet.

Abigail Spencer and Josh Charles still light up a room, and it’s their chemistry that will bring us “home” for another season of Best Medicine.
