Glanville previously rose to fame as part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, becoming a main cast member during the second season. Over the years, she has appeared in a number of reality shows, including Celebrity Big Brother, The Traitors, and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
Back in mid-2023, Brandi Glanville opened up about facial swelling after filming The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco. Initially attributing the situation to stress or something food-related, by the following year, she claimed that doctors theorized she may have been dealing with a facial parasite.
Recently, Glanville had a development to share with fans on her Unfiltered podcast. Speaking with James Moss, she revealed that she is set to undergo exploratory surgery to get to the root of her facial struggles.

Glanville shared that she is sure that doctors will find “something is in my face eating it.” Expressing hope that the move will solve what’s going on, she shared that she’s “excited to get my life back.”
Ultimately, Glanville expressed wanting an end to this chapter in her life, noting, “I’m afraid for my health. Like, I don’t know what’s making me sick.” As she explained, she is set to undergo exploratory surgery scheduled in a couple of weeks. During this time, doctors will check her eustachian tubes, sinuses, and gums.

Glanville shared, “I am so excited. These past four years. I didn’t think I was going to make it. They’re going to go in and hopefully put a balloon in my eustachian tubes and clear that out so that everything can drain.”
The Real Housewives star continued, “[My jawline] just started rattling. The left side rattles and then I get a rattle over here,” she said, gesturing to the right side of her head. I’m pretty sure there’s some sort of worm living in my face. But they said it’s a fungus.” Regardless of what’s in her face, Glanville believes that it is “alive.”
