Jessica Simpson Went Down A Dark Path With Alcohol

This is exactly the sort of path that the pop singer found herself on. She made the decision to get sober in 2017. However, just because you get sober, it doesn’t always mean you stay sober. Once you put the bottle down, it becomes an everyday struggle not to pick it up again, and some fans think Simpson may have gone back to the booze.
Pop Singer Did Not Recognize Herself
As often happens when you turn to the bottle or any other vice that goes unchecked for too long, Jessica Simpson was candid and open about her struggle. Many people might think that someone in the spotlight like her, because she has everything she needs, would not fall into this sort of addiction trap. However, as this proves, anyone can fall off the path if they are not careful.
Reflecting on how she used to be when the drink had her in its snare, Simpson said: “This person in the early morning of Nov 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself. I had so much self-discovery to unlock and explore. I knew in this very moment I would allow myself to take back my light, show victory over my internal battle of self-respect, and brave this world with piercing clarity.”
Did Jessica Simpson Go Back To The Bottle?
On a post celebrating her son Ace’s eleventh birthday, a follower wrote “STOP DRINKING!” in the comments. This definitely killed the vibe of an otherwise wholesome update about her son. However, Jessica Simpson clapped back, setting the record straight on her sobriety and her relationship with alcohol today.
The mother and singer responded, saying: “I haven’t wanted or touched alcohol since October 2017 and it has been the best decision I’ve made for myself and for my family. Thank. You for your concern, but you have me very misunderstood. Sending love your way.”
After everything she has been through to get to this point, Jessica Simpson seems to be sticking to her sobriety, and she seems to be in a much better place because of it.
