During her performance, a duet with a true music icon, she appeared to some as trying to upstage the talented singer standing next to her. Fans were not happy with the former American Idol contestant’s loud and rude behavior and were quick to call her out about it.
The Duet With Cher
The loud and rude behavior Jennifer Hudson exhibited was during her duet with Cher. This pair was supposed to be singing ‘Do You Believe in Life After Love?,” one of Cher’s most beloved songs. Instead, Hudson turned the duet into a disaster.
Jennifer Hudson and Cher started out their duet by holding hands during their performance. They appeared to be feeding off of each other’s talent and energy. Then, the song took a turn and was ruined.

Instead of singing the last bit of “Do You Believe in Life After Love?,” Jennifer Hudson made the choice to do something else. She chose to scream into the microphone.
Fans of both Jennifer Hudson and Cher were shocked and angry. Many fans were probably wondering if Hudson was purposefully trying to sabotage Cher. They could not believe Hudson would do such a thing on stage at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Fans were shocked she sang this way with Cher, one of the greatest voices of all time.
Fans Respond To Jennifer Hudson Screaming
The fans did not wasting any time responding to how Jennifer Hudson screamed on stage while singing “Do You Believe In Life After Love” with Cher. They were not the least bit happy with her loud and rude behavior at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. The fans quickly started voicing their opinions and claimants about the former American Idol contestant.
Fans quickly defended Cher. “Cher is one of the most gracious women in the world to stand there and let nobody scream over her like that,” one fan responded. “That scream at the end was just so unnecessary… I wanted to hear more of Cher,” added another fan.
Another fan was wondering what was going through the mind of Hudson. “Seriously, chill Jennifer, why are you trying to upstage Cher?” asked the fan. One fan believed to know what Cher was thinking as Jennifer Hudson screamed on stage while singing “Do You Believe In Life After Love” with singing legend. “Cher couldn’t believe it at the end,” that fan commented.
