Before The Vampire Lestat, a.k.a. Interview With the Vampire, was renewed for Season 4 in July, an AMC Network executive gave some unexpected updates on a new show that might join the Anne Rice Immortal Universe: Memnoch the Devil, based on the fifth book in Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles. A script for a Memnoch series reportedly exists, but there have been no pilot or series orders for it so far. And there’s another potential spinoff that Interview With the Vampire fans are eager to see.
AMC owns the rights to adapt every book in The Vampire Chronicles, as well as Mayfair Witches. Here, we’ve compiled a list of every Rice adaptation in the works at AMC, both confirmed and reportedly being considered.
Mayfair Witches Season 3: Confirmed
Based on the Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy, Mayfair Witches Season 3 premieres in 2027 on AMC and AMC+.
Season 3 is set in Salem, Massachusetts, marking a major change from the source material that’s set in New Orleans. The new season will “dive deeper into the mythology of witchcraft, introduce new ‘spellbound’ families and feature some of the historical happenings of Salem, the infamous town of witch trials and folklore,” according to AMC.
Mayfair Witches Season 3 stars Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Alyssa Jirrels, and Tongayi Chirisa, with series newcomers Betsy Brandt, Michiel Huisman, Eliza Scanlen, James Frain, and Omar Maskati.
Mayfair Witches will be part of the AMC+ Spotlight panel at New York Comic Con in October 2026.
Queen of the Damned (Interview With the Vampire Season 4): Confirmed

Interview With the Vampire is getting its second name change with Season 4. It will be titled Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned, and it will adapt the third book in The Vampire Chronicles of the same name. It’s essentially The Vampire Lestat Part 2, given how much the plots of those two books bleed together.
Showrunner Rolin Jones is serving solely as an executive producer in Season 4. Executive producer and writer Hannah Moscovitch is the new showrunner. Jones told TV Insider that their versions of The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned are a story told in two parts.
The series stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, and Jennifer Ehle. Sheila Atim will return in an expanded role as Akasha, the mother of all vampires. It’s possible that Delainey Hayles could return as Regina and Claudia. Justin Kirk will also likely be back. Additional cast and filming updates will be announced at a later time.

The Tale of the Body Thief: Reported

In July, Dan McDermott, AMC chief content officer and president of AMC Studios, told The Ankler that they’re considering at least two more seasons of Interview With the Vampire. This interview was before the series was renewed.
“The natural next books in the cycle that could continue the story would be The Queen of the Damned and The Tale of the Body Thief,” McDermott said. “We’re discussing right now if that is something that we want to do. We’re also looking at all the books in the canon and figuring out how to continue the Louis, Lestat, Molloy, and Armand story for another two seasons at least.”
Based on McDermott’s statement and past comments from Jones, it seems that adapting Queen of the Damned and The Tale of the Body Thief could be the plan for Interview With the Vampire Seasons 4 and 5.
Tale of the Body Thief is the fourth book in The Vampire Chronicles, and Raglan James (played by Kirk in the series) is the titular character. Raglan was introduced in Interview With the Vampire Season 2. Jones told TV Insider in 2024 that they had plans for Raglan to become a much more significant character in the series down the line.
“I knew these books, and I had a future for them [in mind],” Jones said. “It’s really hard to get an actor of weight to commit to something that is three or four years off, so I called in a dear friend of mine.”
“I needed an actor that would be able to compete with Jacob and Sam by the time we do that, so that’s what I can say about Justin Kirk,” Jones added.
Night Island: Reported

In 2023, AMC announced a digital series called Night Island that never came to fruition. Night Island is a location in The Vampire Chronicles. It’s a private island owned by Daniel Molloy, and it was bought for him by his maker, Armand.
Located off the coast of Florida, Night Island is a tourist attraction with a large mall, nightclubs, and more. Daniel and Armand’s villa on the island became a place to stay for vampires who survived Akasha’s apocalyptic destruction of their kind in Queen of the Damned. Viewers got a taste of said destruction in The Vampire Lestat finale’s final moments.
Night Island was rarely mentioned after its announcement until June 2026. Mark Johnson, who oversees the whole Immortal Universe, told Nerdist that “we’re getting closer” to Night Island becoming a reality. No casting details have ever been shared, but Interview With the Vampire/The Vampire Lestat writer Jonathan Ceniceroz was reportedly attached to it.
Memnoch the Devil: Reported
McDermott also gave The Ankler an update on a previously ordered Memnoch the Devil script in his July interview.
“It’s still in the works. We got a script in two years ago that we think is terrific,” he said. “We launched Talamasca: The Secret Order at that time and were looking at, ‘How many shows in the canon can we support at one given time? How much is enough? How much is too much?’ And we decided Memnoch is one that we may do. Let’s keep it on the back burner here, and we’ll make a decision on it when we feel like we need to move and pivot to a new show.”
In Memnoch the Devil, Lestat is approached by the Devil, who calls himself Memnoch. He takes Lestat on a tour of heaven and hell and tells his own version of history in an attempt to have Lestat to join him as an adversary of God.
Where are Anne Rice TV shows streaming?

Talamasca: The Secret Order was canceled after one season, but it just arrived on Netflix in late August. It was the first Immortal Universe series to not be an adaptation of a Rice novel. Instead, it pulled inspiration from details about the Talamasca in The Vampire Chronicles and Lives of the Mayfair Witches.
The first two seasons of Interview With the Vampire and Mayfair Witches are also available to stream on Netflix.
All seasons of every show, including The Vampire Lestat, are streaming on AMC+. An AMC+ add-on is available on Prime Video.
How to Watch The Vampire Lestat Concert

The Vampire Lestat‘s one-night only concert, staged at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on June 2, was filmed and released as a concert special on AMC+. It’s streaming as of August 23.
The Vampire Lestat concert is not streaming on Netflix like the other Immortal Universe titles.
Tom Ford’s Cry to Heaven
This film is not connected to AMC’s Immortal Universe, but it is an adaptation of a Rice novel, so we’re giving it a mention.
Tom Ford directs Cry to Heaven, which has wrapped production. Cry to Heaven is a standalone story and not connected to The Vampire Chronicles or Mayfair Witches.
The movie will feature Adele‘s film debut alongside a star-studded cast that includes Colin Firth, Nicholas Hoult, Hunter Schafer, Thandiwe Newton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Adolescence‘s Owen Cooper, and more.
