Kaitlyn Bristowe Reveals Scary Near-Death Experience

Kaitlyn Bristowe has been sharing – or oversharing, depending  on who you ask – her life with the world for over a decade. The Bachelor Nation star went through several public breakups. She shares nearly everything about her life. The only topic off limits is her alleged relationship with former Bachelorette contestant Zac Clark.

If you follow Kaitlyn on social media, you know that what she loves most in the world are her two dogs, Pinot and Ramen. She adopted both dogs with her ex-fiance, Jason Tartick. When the couple split in 2024, she got custody of the dogs. He later adopted a dog of his own. The DWTS alum splits her time between Nashville, Tennessee, and New York City where Zac Clark lives.

Kaitlyn Bristowe opened up about the “scariest week” of her life on Friday. One of her dogs was rushed to the emergency vet amid concerns of an overdose. “[Pinot] accidentally overdosed on his heart pills. They sent chicken flavored chewable ones instead of his usual ones, and he got into the package and ate 120 pills,” she wrote on Instagram.

She shared a carousel of images of Pinot at the vet “We were told to say goodbye, and I can’t even type that without sobbing,” she wrote. “He was on a ventilator and was having seizures. Had a 20 percent chance to make it. I’d go every day to the critical care unit and lay with him because he always showed improvement when I was there,” Kaitlyn wrote on a photo of her cuddling her beloved dog on the floor.

Bachelorette Star Believes In Miracles After Recovery

Kaitlyn Bristowe was able to get Pinot to the vet in time. “After 5 torturous days in critical care, Pinot is home, and I now believe in miracles,” she wrote. How is he doing now?

“He is still not in the clear and on a lot of meds around the clock. But the vets all said he definitely wanted to be here and is a fighter,” she shared. Kaitlyn shared another photo of her two dogs bathing in the sun. “Ramen is definitely happy to have him home. As are we. My angel.”

Ramen and Pinot have gotten Kaitlyn Bristowe through some of the most heartbreaking moments of her life. “Pinot is a fighter and heaven was not ready for him yet,” she wrote in the caption. Stay tuned for updates on his health.
