Candace Cameron Bure only lasted two seasons on The View before the stress became too much. She recently turned down an opportunity to return for Season 30. However, she’s changed her mind. Keep reading for more details on her shocking return.
Candace Cameron Bure Claimed The View Gave Her ‘PTSD’
Candace Cameron Bure was a beloved child star on the 1990s hit sitcom Full House. However, her conservative political beliefs as an adult led to an estrangement from her former co-stars. The actress joined The View as a co-host in 2015 as the show’s sole conservative voice. She had several blow-ups with her co-hosts, particularly one argument after a bakery in Oregon refused to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding.

Candace Cameron Bure left The View after just two seasons. She spoke out about the “stress” from the talk show. “The stress and the anxiety — I actually have a pit in my stomach right now,” said the Fuller House alum. “There was only one type of stress that I’ve ever felt in my life, that came from that show. And I [have] PTSD, like, I can feel it. It was so difficult, and to manage that emotional stress was very, very hard,” she recounted on the show’s Behind the Table podcast in 2021.
She said that she didn’t expect to talk about politics so much when she initially signed on for the show. However, that was around the time Donald Trump started his bid for the presidency, so politics became the biggest topic.

“When I felt like I was going into a show that I didn’t have a clear opinion about or it was something that I was legitimately nervous to talk about because I did have an opinion about it but I knew I was the only one at the table that had my opinion, I would just get sick to my stomach,” the actress said about her time on the show.
She was reportedly asked to return as a guest host for the show’s milestone 30th season. Several other former co-hosts have already returned, including Raven-Symoné.
Former Host Makes Surprise Return After Dissing Show
Candace Cameron Bure turned down the chance to return last month because of a scheduling conflict. Her daughter was days away from giving birth. But now that the Full House star is officially a grandma, she’s ready to take on The View.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Candace Cameron Bure returns to the Hot Topics table on Friday, November 13. Coincidentally, that’s one day after the Special Forces season finale. The former Hallmark star is among the celebrities still in the competition.
She previously said that she doesn’t want to talk politics on The View ever again, but admitted the show desperately needs a conservative voice. Don’t miss her big return on November 13.
