Today co-anchor Craig Melvin just announced “breaking family news” alongside his wife, Lindsay Czarniak.

On Sunday, August 9, the NBC journalist took to Instagram to share the exciting update. “Some breaking family news,” Melvin, 47, began. “CBS Sports Adds Lindsay Czarniak as a Host for @CBSSportsHQ.”

The doting husband continued, “Czarniak will make her debut tonight at 7:30 PM, ET. Stoked. Happy. Proud.”

In the comments, Melvin’s followers joined him in celebrating Czarniak’s new job at CBS Sports HQ, with one Instagram user exclaiming, “Congratulations,” alongside a fire emoji.

Another Instagram user declared, “Congratulations to Lindsay! We loved watching her on ESPN – she’s one of the best in the business!”

Someone else echoed, “Go Lindsay!! That’s amazing!!” alongside a clapping-hands emoji.

Today contributor Kaylee Hartung also posted three clapping emojis.

Meanwhile, yet another Instagram user commented, “Go Lindsay!! That’s amazing!!”

Melvin, 47, and Czarniak, 48, have been married since 2011 and share two children, a son, Delano, 12, and a daughter, Sybil, 9.

In addition to her new role at CBS Sports HQ, Czarniak is the host of the new Investigation Discovery series Game Day Murders, executive produced by Shaquille O’Neal.

Previously, Melvin’s wife worked as a Fox Sports sideline reporter at NFL games. She was also a SportsCenter anchor on ESPN from 2011 to 2017 and worked for WRC-TV, an NBC affiliate in Washington, D.C.
