‘Golden Bachelor’ Bad Editing Made Theresa Nist A Villain?

TV Shows

Golden Bachelor fans didn’t see much of the positive side of Theresa Nist until, the Fantasy Suites, so Bachelor Nation fans wonder if she got a bad edit. It got quite bad for her, and eventually, her daughter, Jen Woolston felt compelled to step up and call out the trolls. Do you think she got a bad edit? Plenty of people do. Read on to find out why.

Theresa Nist Made An Entertaining Entrance

Looking back now, it seems that most people enjoyed Gerry Turner’s reaction when his future winner made her entrance from the limo. Her ‘birthday suit’ (nude colored SKIMS) got him smiling, and as it was her birthday, a sweet kiss came from The Golden Bachelor. Although she had to wait a bit for her rose, the chemistry was obvious from the beginning.

Golden Bachelor fans who liked Theresa Nist for Gerry Turner saw the fun side of the former day trader. Actually, her career trajectory showed her determination to make the most of every opportunity. Additionally, she carried her age well, even in her forties. Fans adored the throwback photo of that time in her life. However, the show seemed slanted to showcase her rival, Leslie Fhima in a better light.

Golden Bachelor Fans DIscuss Gerry Turner’s Winner & Editing

The finalist who managed to hold it together when Gerry Turner misspoke his proposal only started to emerge as a nice person ahead of the Fantasy Suites. So, on Reddit, an OP wondered why. They asked:

Why did they edit Theresa to be a villain?
I feel like Theresa was edited to be the shows villain, I mean in a very light sense. But they definitely didn’t offer her a generous narrative, and then only in the last 2 episodes was I like omg she’s actually really sweet

Other Golden Bachelor fans agreed that much of Theresa’s sweet personality seemed glossed over by the production team, and they think they know why.

  • Good people can spot other good people. America has come to like combative people. They call this “entertainment” and “telling it like it is.” Bullcrap.
  • They also attempted to edit her as a vapid human bobble head.
  • Who knew she was so smart and funny and bubbly! I wish we had seen more of her personality throughout.
  • I’m sad that we didn’t get to see this side of her until so late in the show. It was an odd choice of editing, as it felt like they’d produced it in a way that we wouldn’t like her.

What do you think of the way the ABC show seemed to give Theresa Nist a bad edit? Do you agree that her good side seemed well hidden until the Fantasy SuitesWas she meant to be the villain but her personality defeated TV drama’s nastiness? Do you agree that bad edits create trolling which entertains people online? Let us know in the comments below, and remember to check back with TV Shows Ace for all your Bachelor Nation news.
