The Voice crowned Asher HaVon its Season 25 champion during the two-hour season finale that aired Tuesday on NBC.

The Voice host Carson Daly announced Asher HaVon, a 31-year-old choir soloist from Selma, AL, as the winner of The Voice’s milestone 25th season based on home viewer votes that had poured in during Monday night’s Top 5 performance show.
Asher represented coach Reba McEntire’s “Team Reba” team, and it was the country icon’s first season on The Voice.
“[Reba’s mentorship] has meant the world to me. Thank you for giving me such a safe space to be my authentic self. Thank you for making me believe in myself, and I promise you: I will never let you down,” Asher told Reba before the night’s live results were announced.
And Reba told Asher at the end of the broadcast, “I have seen you grow, I have seen you change, not in the way of your personality or your talent, but in your happiness. I know you’ve had such a great time here on The Voice, and everybody has had a wonderful time with you, especially me!”
Reba added, “I love you with all of my heart, and peace be with you.”
The Voice’s second-place finisher, Josh Sanders, a musician from Kannapolis, NC, was also a member of “Team Reba.”
“More than a support, you’ve been a constant throughout this entire thing for a boy that’s really far from his home,” Josh told his coach.
“Thank you for always making me feel like I was at home, and I love you and I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. I’ll never forget the spiritual connection that we share.”
Reba later told Josh of his “gift” that she’s “so glad” the world is going to get to hear it from now, adding, “I’m just so proud of you. Your family loves you, and so do I!”
The Voice coaches John Legend and Dan + Shay were also represented in the finale.
“Team Legend” member Bryan Olesen, a band frontman from Lincoln, NE, finished The Voice competition in third place.
“I can take away a spirit of gratitude from [John Legend], I can take away a spirit of confidence, I can take away a spirit of love, and I can take away a spirit of vision — and that’s all thanks to you!” Bryan told his coach.
John, in turn, praised Bryan for fighting his way into the finale, which he called “an amazing feat,” and he pointed out how the singer has become the full version of himself.
“Team Legend” member Nathan Chester, a cruise ship performer from Chicago, IL, placed fourth.
“Team Dan + Shay” member Karen Waldrup, a singer from Mandeville, LA, claimed fifth place.
The Voice coach Chance the Rapper didn’t have any singers in the finale.
The Voice finale featured each of the finalists performing with his or her coach.
The star-studded finale also featured performances by country singer Thomas Rhett, singer and songwriter Muni Long, the rock band The Black Keys, singer Lady Wilson, actress Kate Hudson, Season 23 The Voice winner Gina Miles, and singer Jelly Roll.
Given Season 25 was a milestone season, The Voice finale treated viewers to throwback footage of coaches performing from past seasons.
The opening number, for example, showed Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, and Christina Aguilera rocking the stage together.
