Theresa Nist was spotted for the first time since her divorce from Gerry Turner was finalized in a reworn dress from the Golden Bachelor.
Golden Bachelor Marriage Officially Over
Theresa Nist had one great love in her lifetime until her husband died in 2014 after over 40 years of marriage. Gerry Turner went through a similar situation when his wife, Toni, passed away in 2017.
Gerry and Theresa sought a second chance at love on the first-ever season of The Golden Bachelor. They thought they’d found it in each other and quickly made their way to the altar in a televised special two months after their engagement aired on the season finale.
But perhaps they rushed too quickly into marriage. Just three months after their wedding, Gerry Turner filed for divorce. It seems they weren’t on the same page about where to live and neither wanted to move away from their families.
According to multiple outlets, the divorce was just as quick as the wedding and engagement. The paperwork as reportedly been finalized.
Theresa Nist Dazzles In Dress From Show
While her relationship with Gerry Turner didn’t work out, Theresa Nist clearly doesn’t resent her experience on the dating show. In one of her first social media posts since the divorce became official, she stunned in one of the dresses from the show.
Golden Bachelor viewers may remember the white dress with blue flower print from her first solo date with Gerry Turner. During the date on the show, they went to a diner and bonded over their deceased spouses.
This wasn’t the first time Theresa Nist repurposed a dress. Fans of the show noticed that the dress she wore during the proposal was strikingly similar to the one Michelle Young wore on Season 18 of The Bachelorette.
Theresa Spends Time With Leslie Fhima
The professional day trader also found time amid the divorce to reconnect with romantic rival Leslie Fhima, who was the Golden Bachelor runner-up. Theresa shared photos from visiting Leslie in her home state of Minnesota.
